Thanks to everyone who voted in favor of Prop 2 — I can sleep easier at night knowing so many animals will live less confined lives starting three years from now. Yay!

My name is Emily. This blog chronicles my efforts to buy 100%-animal-testing-free cosmetics/household products. (I have a list there of 100%-animal-testing-free companies -- go look!) I don't buy just any product that says "no animal testing" on the back -- I think those products may have raw ingredients that were tested on animals. I don't buy PETA-approved products either, because I have the same fears about those products.
I also write about supporting humane farming, vegan foods, and my life in the San Francisco Bay Area.

I’m so happy that animals will suffer a little bit less and surprised that so many people voted. It’s so sad and ridiculous though the animals have to wait three whole years!

Isn’t it great? I’m still very happy!
Yeah, it’s really too bad it will take 3 years. But they’ve got to force some (very cruel) people to remodel a lot of huge facilities — I guess that will take some amount of time. Or at least, that’s how I justify the wait to myself . . .
