Living Cruelty Free

My name is Emily. This blog chronicles my spending a year (and counting!) of buying 100% cruelty-free cosmetic/household products (I have a list there in the sidebar — it’s called “cruelty-free companies” — go look!) I also write about boycotting inhumane factory farming (buy humanely-raised animal products!), my life in the San Francisco bay area, and my dog, who I cook food for.

Things I Learned from Reading the French 100%-Animal-Testing-Free Company List

Reading the French 100%-Animal-Testing-Free Company List was not quite as exciting as reading the Australian CCIC-sister-site’s list of cruelty-free companies. However, I did find out that Weleda does subscribe to the Humane Cosmetics Standard. I’ve never actually bought Weleda products, since up till a few days ago I thought they were 50%-cruelty-free, but I’ve seen them at almost every health food store I’ve ever been to. So, I’ll have to start checking them out in the future!
