This is an explanation (among other things) of how there is a morphine-like substance in dairy products. Apparently if you take a bunch of people on an average American diet and force them to become vegan for a few weeks, what they really miss is cheese. Not steak, not bacon, not chocolate — cheese. Really.
The best part about this video is that the guy who gives the talk, Dr. Neal Barnard, is hilarious. I wish all scientists with powerpoints were one-sixteenth as funny.
And now I COMPLETELY understand why I’ve been having so much trouble giving up cheese!

Dairy is just like drugs alright! All the poisons that is in dairy makes it so addicting that’s why people buy it like crazy! I haven’t had dairy for almost seven years now since I’m vegan. Before that I was a lacto veggie for seven years. Dairy is so cruel and unhealthy I wish I gave it up sooner. I am really paying the price for consuming dairy when I was younger since I got severe arthritis from it.

Good for you! I hope I will be able to give up dairy products entirely at some point.

I’m sure you will be able to give up dairy at some point. I know it’s harder but there are great vegan alternatives. I’m like addicted to soy dairy subsitutes. There’s everything from cream cheese, ice cream, yogurt, cheese, sour, cream, etc.

I just wanted to let you know( in case you don’t know already)if you buy vegan soy products they are not 100% cruelty free . I just found out recently that soy is tested on animals!! I am so sad.
I’ve been eating soy since I was a kid.

Yes all soy products. It’s awful. I would have never guessed this.
